Big Move!!

Today's a big day for me.  I am moving way out to BFE Beaverton to stay with my friends, Jon and Molly, for a month while we continue looking for a new place.  It's a 3 mile bike ride to the Max, the train system here in Portland with nary a coffee shop in sight. Hence them wanting to move closer in to town.  This should give us the time and a lil extra money to be sure to get the house we want and not settle for something we aren't going to love.

We found quite a few nice houses that had basement space or a garage for a studio space.  Really looking forward to having a separate studio to work in.  Stoked!! We just have to be vigilant on our quest for fine living. Multiple times we would go check out a house, but we were the third or fourth one there and got overlooked because they were first come first serve.  But now we know better!  Advice to those looking for living in Portland, Gotta get on it quick!!

This is the first time in over 10 years that I am going to have roommates.  I'm a bit nervous.  I don't even know what to expect having someone living with me every day.  I have spent most of my time alone, always busy, busy, busy. But they are some of the coolest cats I know so it should be super fun times. My cats are moving with me and they have a one year old blue healer.  Hoping they get along and make cute lil snuggle piles of furry goodness.  I'm sure it'll be interesting.
Off to adventure!!!

Here are some fun photos.  People have reenacted old photos of themselves when they were younger.  There are some great ones in there.  8)

Getting Things Back in Order

Finally got a working computer.  FINALLY!!  Seriously, that is the longest I have gone without a computer since the early 90's.  Now I am getting all my scanners and printers and drivers all in a row and once I do I will be back to posting regular updates.

I've been reworking my original comic idea that I started before I went to college 15 years ago.  I will be posting sketches and such from that project as they develop.

I just finished a couple commissions for a couple friends.  Both were paintings, one acrylic and one in oils.  Was nice to work in oils again.  Nice to paint in general again.

Some friends and I are looking for a new homestead.  Most places we are looking at have a garage or basement that I can turn into a studio space.  That's gonna change and improve so much in my life!!  I can't wait to layout and organize my workspace.  Most have been bigger than this tiny lil speck of a room I am in now.

Right now I am getting back into drawing and working on some new pages to show Cebulski and Marvel  at Emerald City.  It's been two years since I have talked to Cebulski.  In that time I have worked for a publisher, Creator's Edge Press, and am planning on showing some of that work as well.  It's good to be back to drawing.  I've been writing and painting for the past 6 or 8 months.

OK.  Back to the drawing board.  And finish watching Batman begins.
