Well, I have moved in with my two awesome friends, Jon and Molly, until we find a new place. They live in Beaverton, a suburb of Portland, which has proven to be quite different than living downtown. I can no longer just wake up, walk a couple blocks away for some coffee and go back home and draw all day. The nearest coffee shop is over a mile and a half away. And the transit system is less frequent. Buses come about every hour and a half instead of every 15 min. It's taking some adjustment, but once I get the timing down things will be going much more smoothly. On the bright side, besides having two cool roomies, I am getting in shape from riding my bike everywhere. Look Out!! Buns of Steel ain't got nothin' on livin' in Beaverton!!
In the meantime, I am still working on my new pages to show Marvel at Emerald City Comicon. Looking forward to seeing CB again after a few years and working in the industry. My zine-making skills are also going to come in handy. I am going to make him a lil booklet of all the work I have done trying to break into Marvel.
Working on these sample pages for Marvel hasn't allowed me to work on my own comic in quite some time. I'm ready to get back to creating that world. The characters are calling at me every day!! They need some lovin'. 8)
